AsiaSafe's MRI Safety Call for Action Series continues with country focus sessions. India Focus Session was the first of the 2026 webinar series. This was a resounding success, bringing together experts and professionals to discuss critical aspects of MRI safety. The difference? Whilst the principles of MRI Safety cannot be compromised - every country has its own challenges whether regulatory, resource-related or even cultural. Dr L. Murali Krishna, President-Elect of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) shared their roadmap for MRI safety, outlining short-term, medium- and long-term goals. Subsequently Ms SheebaKumari, technologist and Dr Amel Antony presented the technologists' and radiologists' perspectives of implant screening in MRI. This was followed by a panel of radiologists exploring and sharing strategies for the common MRI safety incidents such as preventing thermal burns and projectile accidents.
